This topic describes how to add or remove tags for an Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) gateway in the Cloud Storage Gateway (CSG) console.

Prerequisites

An iSCSI gateway is created. For more information, see Create an iSCSI gateway.

Background information

  • Each tag is a key-value pair. A tag key must be unique within a region. If you add a tag that has the same tag key as an existing tag, the existing tag is overwritten.

  • You can add up to 10 tags to one gateway.

  • You can add up to five tags to a gateway, or remove up to five tags from a gateway at a time.

  • Tags are not shared across regions.

Add tags

  1. Log on to the CSG console. On the gateway list page, find the desired gateway and choose More.

  2. In the edit tags dialog box, create a new tag or select an existing tag.

    • To add a new tag: Click Create Tag, enter a Key and Value, and then click OK. When the tag appears in the upper area, click OK in the lower-right corner to apply it.

    • To add an existing tag: Click the Existing Tags tab and select the desired tag. When the tag appears in the upper area, click OK in the lower-right corner to apply it.

You can view the added tags in the Tags column of the gateway list.

Remove tags

  1. Log on to the CSG console. On the gateway list page, find the desired gateway and choose More.

  2. In the edit tags dialog box, click the x icon next to the tag you want to remove, and then click OK in the lower-right corner.

If a tag is added to only one gateway, removing the tag from the gateway deletes the tag.
