View multi-round quotation invitations

You may receive the following text message when a buyer invites you to a multi-round quotation.

On the Cloud Business Opportunities homepage, click To-Do to view messages. If a buyer sends you a multi-round quotation invitation, click Process to open the corresponding details page. Note the deadline for the multi-round quotation. If the deadline has passed, clicking Process opens a blank page.

Alternatively, navigate to Lead Pool > Opportunity Follow-up. Select the Show only multi-round quotations checkbox to view all multi-round quotation documents.

Important

This page displays only multi-round quotations for which the first round was completed in Cloud Business Opportunities. If you completed the first-round quotation in the Enterprise Procurement Workbench (the original 1688 workbench), you must use the previous version to proceed. Go to the previous version >>. If you cannot return to the previous version, click the chatbot in the lower-right corner of the Cloud Business Opportunities workbench to send us feedback.

Respond to a multi-round quotation

There are two ways to respond to a quotation. The first method is to click Process in the To-Do section on the homepage.

The second method is to click View Details on the quotation management page under Lead Pool > Opportunity Follow-up.

On the inquiry details page, click Enter Round N Quotation to open the quotation page. Fill in the quotation information and click Publish Quotation to complete the quotation.

FAQ

  1. Can a supplier initiate a multi-round quotation?

No, a supplier cannot. Only buyers can initiate multi-round quotations.

  1. If I did not participate in the first round of quotations, can I participate in the second round?

No, you cannot. You must participate in the first round to be eligible for the second round. However, if you participate in the first round, you can skip a later round and still be eligible for subsequent rounds, provided that the buyer invites you. For example, if you are invited to the second round but do not participate, you can still participate in the third round if the buyer invites you. If the buyer does not invite you to the second round, you cannot be invited to the third round.

  1. I participated in the first round but was not invited to the second round. Can I join the second round on my own?

No, you cannot. You can only participate in a multi-round quotation if you are invited by the buyer.
