Connect a database instance to DAS

Limitations

• The following table lists the supported database types and engines.

• To connect an Alibaba Cloud database instance, the instance and DAS must belong to the same Alibaba Cloud account.

• To connect a self-managed database on an ECS instance, the ECS instance and DAS must belong to the same Alibaba Cloud account.

Procedure

1. Log on to the DAS console.

2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Intelligent O&M Center > Instance Monitoring.

3. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Access Instance.

4. On the Access Instance page, select the connection method for your database type.

   • Alibaba Cloud database instances are automatically connected to DAS after creation. No manual connection is required.

   • For self-managed databases on ECS instances, see Access ECS-based self-managed database instances.

   • For other self-managed databases or databases from a third-party cloud service provider, see Connect self-managed databases that are not deployed on Alibaba Cloud to DAS.
