The Autonomy Center in Database Autonomy Service (DAS) gives you a single view of all autonomous actions taken on a database instance. Use it to review what happened, when, and why — and to authorize DAS to act automatically when exceptions occur.
How it works
DAS continuously monitors the core metrics of a database instance. When an exception is detected, DAS analyzes sessions, SQL statements, and instance capacity to identify the root cause. Based on the findings, DAS either suggests corrective actions or — if you have granted authorization — takes action automatically.
All activity is recorded as events in the Autonomy Center, grouped into four categories:

| Auto scaling events | Capacity adjustments triggered automatically |
| Other events | Additional autonomy activities that do not fit the above categories |
Enable autonomy service and review events
Log on to the DAS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instance Monitoring.
Find the database instance you want to manage and click its instance ID. The instance details page opens.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Autonomy Center.
In the upper-right corner of the Autonomy Center page, click Autonomy Service Settings.
On the Autonomous Function Settings tab of the Autonomous Function Management panel, enable the autonomy service and click OK.
Enabling the autonomy service authorizes DAS to automatically optimize performance or mitigate losses when an exception is detected.
On the Autonomy Center tab, set a time range to view events from that period.
The trend chart shows the duration of each event and how key metrics changed during that time.
To inspect a specific event, click Details next to it.
