When storage fills up unexpectedly, databases can become unavailable. DAS capacity assessment uses machine learning and capacity algorithms to monitor your database instance's storage health, predict future usage, and tell you how many days of storage remain—so you can act before capacity runs out.
With capacity assessment, you can:
View the current storage status and get optimization suggestions
Review storage performance and usage trends over a custom time range
See how many days of storage remain before capacity is exhausted
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
A supported database instance type:
ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL
ApsaraDB MyBase for MySQL
View capacity assessment
Log on to the DAS console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instance Monitoring.
Find the instance you want to manage, then click its instance ID. The instance details page appears.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Capacity Assessment.
On the Capacity Assessment tab, review the following sections:
Capacity Suggestion: Shows the current storage status and recommendations for capacity optimization.
Capacity Assessment: Shows storage performance and storage usage over a specified time range.
