Database Gateway (DBGateway) is a component of Database Autonomy Service (DAS). It automatically collects database performance metrics and topology information. This helps you view performance trends, real-time performance, and replication relationships.
Features
Non-intrusive design DBGateway is installed on a host that is not a database server. You do not need to install DBGateway on each database instance.
NoteIf you require disaster recovery, install DBGateway on two separate machines.
Secure and stable
DBGateway requires only read-only permission for system tables. It does not require read permission for any business system tables.
Data is encrypted and compressed during transmission to ensure security.
Low cost A single DBGateway can manage more than 1,000 instances.
Deployment requirements
Permission requirements DBGateway requires root permissions on the Linux server to start.
Hardware requirements
CPU: Intel 4 Core 2.2 GHz or higher, or an AMD CPU with equivalent performance.
Memory: 8 GB or more.
Disk: At least 1 GB of free disk space in the /opt folder.
Operating system requirements
Linux kernel version 2.6.32 or later.
Only 64-bit operating systems are supported.
Network requirements
You can connect to Alibaba Cloud through Express Connect or the internet. For more information, see Network connection methods.
The available network bandwidth must be 10 Mbps or more.
