Dataphin encrypts and stores sensitive information using algorithms such as AES256, DES, and RSA. This sensitive data includes connection information for data and compute sources, and authorized sample data. Dataphin also masks sensitive data, so users cannot retrieve the original sensitive data from the product.
Key management methods vary based on the deployment environment. In the Alibaba Cloud public cloud, keys are managed using Key Management Service (KMS). For private deployments, keys are managed locally.
