Select a technical architecture
Based on the best practices of the OneData methodology proposed by Alibaba Cloud, you must select a technical architecture before you design a data model. In this tutorial, Alibaba Cloud Dataphin works together with MaxCompute to complete the overall data modeling and development process.
The following figure shows the technical architecture. As shown in the figure, the data integration and synchronization feature of Dataphin allows you to import data from the source business systems. MaxCompute serves as an offline computing engine throughout the big data development process. Based on the OneData methodology featuring OneModel, OneID, and OneService, Dataphin provides a series of features including data modeling and development, scheduling center, monitoring and alerting, and data asset management.
