Permissions

Resource Access Management (RAM) users can renew Dataphin instances. To renew a Dataphin instance, the RAM user or RAM role must have the AliyunDataphinFullAccess and AliyunBSSOrderAccess permissions. For more information, see Policy overview.

Renewal policy

If your Dataphin service expires, you must renew it within 14 days to avoid service disruption. During this period, the system pauses all nodes but retains your data and resources. If you do not renew the service within 14 days, the system deletes all nodes and releases the resources. For more information, see Expiration reminders and service suspension policy.

Manual renewal

1. Log on to the Alibaba Cloud website with your Alibaba Cloud account.

2. On the Alibaba Cloud website, hover over Product Categories, hover over Big Data in the navigation pane on the left, and then click Dataphin in the Data Development and Governance column.

3. Go to the Renewal page.

   1. On the Dataphin product page, click Management Console.

   2. The Dataphin console provides different renewal options based on the instance status:

      • If your instance is active, click Renew next to the instance lifetime information, or click Renew next to Activate Other Regions.

      • If your instance has expired and is within the 14-day grace period, click Renew under Dataphin Workspace.

   Alternatively, you can perform the following steps to go to the Renewal page:

   1. Go to Alibaba Cloud Expenses and Costs.

   2. On the Expenses and Costs page, click Resource Renewals under Subscriptions in the navigation pane on the left.

   3. On the Resource Renewals page, the Manual Renewal tab is displayed by default. In the Actions column of the Dataphin instance, click Renew.

4. On the Dataphin Renewal page, the available renewal durations vary by Dataphin edition.

   • Intelligent R&D Edition, Basic R&D Edition: You can select a renewal term of 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, 5 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, or 3 years.

   • Agile R&D Edition, Personal Edition: You can select a renewal term of 1 year, 2 years, or 3 years.

5. Review the purchase information, read the Dataphin Service Agreement, and then select the Dataphin Service Agreement checkbox.

6. Click Go to Pay. After the payment is successful, the renewal is complete.

Auto-renewal

1. Go to Alibaba Cloud Expenses and Costs.

2. On the Expenses and Costs page, click Resource Renewals under Subscriptions in the navigation pane on the left.

3. On the Resource Renewals page, the Manual Renewal tab is displayed by default.

4. Find the Dataphin instance for which you want to enable auto-renewal and click Enable Auto Renewal in the Actions column.

5. On the Enable Auto Renewal page, select a Unified Auto Renewal Cycle and click Enable Auto Renewal to complete the setup.

6. On the Auto Renewal tab, you can view the information of the instance for which auto-renewal is enabled.

   To modify or cancel auto-renewal, click Renew, Modify Auto Renewal, Do Not Renew, or Restore Manual Renewal.

   Important

   • Enabling auto-renewal does not trigger the renewal immediately. The setting takes effect the next day. After the setting takes effect, the system starts to deduct fees for renewal 9 days before the resource expires. If a payment fails, the system retries the payment on the following days until the payment is successful or until one day before the expiration date.

   • If your instance expires the next day, auto-renewal is not performed. You must renew the instance manually.
