Scenario
In the Tags module, you must request permissions to use tags from the Tags Marketplace. When requesting a tag, you choose to add it to either a project or an application. What is the difference between these two options?
Prerequisites
You already have permissions for the project or application where you want to add the tag.
Solutions and Features
Go to Tags > Assets Marketplace to request asset permissions. For detailed steps, see Request Asset Permissions.
A project is a workspace for processing and producing tags and audience groups. When you add a tag from the Tags Marketplace to a project, you can use tags created by other projects. In a project where you have permissions, you can use the requested tags to build transformation rules, combine tags, or create audience groups in one step.
An application is a workspace for consuming tags or audience groups. Members added to an application can create services using tags or audience groups assigned to that application, such as offline tag services and offline audience group services.
You cannot perform secondary processing on tags built using transformation rules.
