Data source whitelist configuration
Alibaba Cloud database products use IP address whitelists to ensure secure access. Before you create a data source in Dataphin for an Alibaba Cloud product, you must add the IP address of Dataphin to the database whitelist or security group. This enables communication between Dataphin and the data source.
The following table provides instructions on how to configure IP address whitelists for various Alibaba Cloud databases. Find your product in the table to view the corresponding instructions. The IP addresses that you need to add are detailed below.
If the data source connects to Dataphin over a VPC, add the Dataphin egress IP address for the VPC to the data source whitelist. For more information, see Dataphin egress IP addresses for VPC networks.
If the data source connects to Dataphin over the internet, add the public egress IP address of Dataphin to the data source whitelist. For more information, see Dataphin egress IP addresses for public networks.
