This topic describes the basic concepts of Asset Quality, such as data objects, quality rules, strong rules, and soft rules.
| Term | Description |
| Quality rule | A rule used for quality checks on a data object. A quality rule can apply to specific fields. For example, to monitor row count changes and check for duplicate primary keys in a table, you can create quality rules for these checks. |
| Strong rule | The check result of a quality rule that has a significant impact on descendant nodes. When a strong rule check returns an abnormal result, the O&M scheduling for descendant nodes automatically stops. The current node is then marked as failed, and an alert is sent to the quality alert recipient. |
| Soft rule | The check result of a quality rule that does not affect descendant nodes. It does not support forcibly stopping the O&M scheduling of descendant nodes. If a soft rule check returns an abnormal result, the system sends an alert to the quality alert recipient. |
| Check record | A record of the results from periodic checks performed by Asset Quality rules. |
| Quality report | A report that shows the check results of quality rules for a data table. These checks are triggered periodically when the table is part of O&M scheduling in the production environment. |
| Partition filter expression | An expression that defines the data scope to which an Asset Quality rule applies. |
