The metric list displays the collection of derived/extended/registered metrics created in Dataphin. It shows the basic information and management operations for these metrics, allowing you to view and manage the derived/extended/registered metrics you have created. This topic describes the management features supported by the derived/extended/registered metric list.

Manage derived/extended metrics

  1. In the top navigation bar of the Dataphin homepage, choose Development > Data Development.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Standardized Modeling > Metrics.

  3. At the bottom of the metric list on the right, click Metric List. On the Derived/Extended/Registered Metric List page, perform the related management operations.

Derived metrics, extended metrics, and registered metrics support the same features. The following figure shows the derived metric as an example.image

Derived/registered indicator list supported operations

Operation

Description

Get lock

Click the icon in the Actionsimage column of the target derived/extended metric to obtain and lock the edit lock of the current derived/extended metric.

Note
  • After enabling the exclusive edit lock in Management Hub > System Settings > Platform Settings > Development Platform, you can go to the edit area to manually release the edit lock of the current metric.

  • Registered metrics do not support this operation.

Edit

  1. Click the Edit icon in the Actions column of the target derived/extended/registered metric to modify the related information on the edit page of the corresponding metric.

  2. After the modification is complete, if you click Save, the current modification is saved, and the development status of the current metric is Developing. If you click Submit, a new version is generated after successful submission, and the development status of the current derived/extended/registered metric is Submitted.

Unpublish

  1. Click the Unpublish icon in the Actions column of the target derived/extended metric.

  2. In the dialog box, fill in the Remarks field, which cannot exceed 128 characters. After filling it in, click OK And Submit.

Note
  • Only derived/extended metrics that are Published and Developing, and have no dependent objects support unpublishing.

  • After successful submission, you need to go to the pending publish list to publish the objects to the production environment.

  • Registered metrics do not support this operation.

Unpublish and delete

Unpublish and delete derived/extended metrics with development status of Developing and Submitted.

  1. Click the icon in the Actionsimage column of the target derived/extended metric, and select Unpublish And Delete.

  2. In the Unpublish And Delete dialog box, fill in the Remarks field, which cannot exceed 128 characters.

  3. After completion, click OK And Submit.

Note
  • If the derived/extended metric has dependent objects, the unpublish and delete operation will not take effect. Tasks that have been published to the production environment will only be unpublished, not deleted.

  • After the unpublish and delete operation is successfully submitted, you can go to the pending publish list to publish the objects to the production environment.

  • If the current tenant has not enabled the Management Hub > System Settings > Development Platform Settings > Unpublish and Delete > Development environment can delete published objects configuration, then in Dev-prod projects, published development objects do not support the unpublish and delete operation.

  • Registered metrics do not support this operation.

Delete

Delete derived/extended metrics with development status of Draft.

Click the Delete icon in the Actions column of the target derived/extended metric, select Delete, fill in the Remarks field in the dialog box, and then click OK And Submit.
