A manual task is submitted to the O&M center and configured with a manual scheduling type. An instance is generated only when you manually trigger a run. This topic describes the O&M features for manual tasks.

Manual task page

  1. In the top navigation bar of the Dataphin homepage, choose R&D > O&M.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, choose O&M > Manual Task to open the Manual Task page.

  3. In the top navigation bar, select a production environment or development environment.

Manual task page overview

The Manual Task page consists of a filter and search area, a filter area, a manual task list, and a batch operations area. On this page, you can manage manual tasks.

Description

Filter and search area

To quickly find a specific task, filter by its name or ID. You can also select My Tasks or Updated Today to filter the list.

  • My Tasks: Shows manual tasks for which you are the person in charge of O&M.

  • Updated Today: Shows manual tasks that were updated today.

  • project: Filters tasks by the project to which they belong. You can select multiple projects for which you have O&M - Access Directory permissions.

  • Filter: Click Filter to expand the filter options.

    • task type: Filters tasks by the manual task type created in Dataphin. The available task types vary by environment. The available options are shown in the UI.

    • person in charge of O&M: Filters tasks by the person in charge of O&M.

    • priority: Filters tasks by their run priority. You can select multiple priorities, including Highest, High, Medium, Low, and Lowest.

    • Update Time: Filters tasks by selecting Today or a Custom Time Range.

    • scheduling resource group: Filters tasks by the scheduling resource group they are configured to use. You can select multiple resource groups.

    • tag: Filters tasks by one or more tag values.

To clear all selected filter criteria, click Reset.

List operations

  • Customize Columns: Click the image icon to select which columns to display and to reorder them.

    Note
    • You cannot hide or reorder the first column or the Actions column.

    • If you clear your browser cache or switch browsers, the column settings revert to their defaults.

  • Refresh List: Click the image icon to refresh the current list.

Manual task list

Manual tasks submitted to the O&M center are displayed in a list. The list shows the Task Object, priority, person in charge of O&M, project, scheduling resource group, Last Update Time, tag, and available Actions for each task. You can adjust the width of each column. Your settings are saved in your browser. Clearing your browser's history and cookies resets them.

  • project: The project to which the task belongs, displayed in the format ProjectEnglishName (ProjectChineseName).

  • scheduling resource group: The scheduling resource group that task instances use at runtime.

If a task's specified custom resource group is unavailable, the system uses the project default resource group. If that is also unavailable, the system falls back to the tenant default resource group. The fallback order is custom resource group > project default resource group > tenant default resource group.

    Note

When you change the project default resource group, its display here may be delayed. However, the task will use the updated resource group for execution.

tenant default resource group: Does not belong to any project. A Dataphin instance has only one default resource group. If a task does not specify a dedicated custom resource group, or if the project does not specify a project default resource group, the system uses the tenant default resource group for scheduling.

  • Actions: The Actions column provides operations for managing manual tasks. For more information, see Supported actions.

Batch operations area

You can perform O&M operations on multiple manual tasks at once to improve efficiency. For more information, see Batch operations.

Edit Development Node

Opens the task's edit page in the Dev project. This action is available only in the Dev-Prod development mode.

Note

After editing the development node, you must submit or publish it to apply the changes to the production environment.

Edit Node

Edit a task node. This action is available only in Basic mode.

Note

After editing the node, you must submit or publish it to apply the changes to the production environment.

View Node Script

View the dependency graph of a pipeline task.

Note

This action is available only for manual tasks submitted from the Data Integration module.

View Production Node

Go to the Prod project to view the task node data.

Change the person in charge of O&M for the task.

Note
  • This action is available only for tasks in Prod and Basic projects (production environment tasks).

  • You can select only members within the tenant.

Configure Monitoring

Configure monitoring rules for task runs. If a monitoring rule is triggered during a run, the system sends you an alert. This helps you quickly identify exceptions and ensure that business data is generated as expected. For more information, see Offline task monitoring overview.

Note

You can configure monitoring only for tasks in Prod and Basic projects (production environment tasks).

Modify Scheduling Resource Group

Change the scheduling resource group used by instances generated from the task.

Note
  • You can modify the scheduling resource group only for tasks in Prod and Basic projects.
