View application call logs

Updated at:

This topic describes the call logs generated by the applications you have joined.

Prerequisites

To view application call log information, you must enable detailed call logs in the system configuration. For more information, see Log and O&M statistics settings.

Limits

  • When the network is configured as Alibaba Cloud API Gateway, the requestBody and requestHeader fields in a log cannot exceed 10,240 characters.

  • If the called API or the API version does not exist, a synchronous call is used by default.

  • If the Return SQL configuration item for a direct-connect data source API or a service unit API is enabled, the API response returns the physical SQL statement executed by the database. If this item is disabled, the response returns only the original SQL script.

Query application call logs

  1. On the Dataphin home page, choose Service > Application O&M from the top menu bar.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Call Log to open the Call Log page.

  3. On the Call Log page, you can view the Request ID/Job ID, API name, call pattern, application name, environment, service project, call result, request start time, request end time, call duration, execution duration (displayed only for asynchronous invocations), and source IP.

Request ID/Job ID: For a synchronous call, the Request ID is displayed. For an asynchronous invocation, the Job ID is displayed.

  4. (Optional) You can search for call logs by Request ID or Job ID. You can also filter logs by various criteria, such as the Production environment, an application you have joined, time range, environment, call result, call pattern, call duration, execution duration, number of returned data entries, service project, call time, API name, API ID, or source IP. A maximum of 1,000 records that meet the filter criteria are returned.

    • Time Range: Filter call log records by request time. You can select a predefined range, such as Last 10 Minutes, Last 24 Hours, Last 7 Days, or Last 14 Days.

    • Service Project: View the call log records for all applications in a project.

  5. In the Actions column for the target API, you can perform the following operations.

View Log: Click the View Log icon in the Actions column. In the API Call Log Details panel, you can view detailed information for different call patterns.

    • Synchronous call: You can view basic information and call details.

    • Asynchronous invocation: You can view basic information, call details, and details for GetJobStatus, GetJobResult, GetJobExecutionLog, CloseJob, and CancelJob.

The log includes common and business parameters from the request, such as parameters for paging, row-level permission proxy, sorting, and asynchronous invocation.
