Step 6: Visual analytics

Step 1: Create a data source

1. Log on to the Quick BI console.

2. Follow the instructions in the figure below to access the Create Data Source dialog box.

   

3. In the Mysql-alibaba Cloud section, configure the connection parameters as follows:

   Parameter	Description
   Database source	Choose Alibaba Cloud.
   Connection parameters	Select Auto Connect.
   Connect to database	Select the database that you created.
   Display name	Automatically populated. No input is required.
   Database address	Automatically populated. No input is required.
   Port	The default port is 3306.
   Database	Select the flink_dataphin database.
   Username and password	Enter the username and password of your database.
   Database version	Choose version 8.0.

4. Click OK to complete the data source creation.

Step 2: Create a dataset

1. Follow the instructions in the figure below to navigate to the New Dataset page.

   

2. Select the created data source and drag the ads_gross data table onto the canvas.

3. Click Save.

4. In the Save Dataset dialog box, configure the following parameters:

   Parameter	Description
   Name	Enter flink_dataphin.
   Location	The default location is the root directory.

5. Click OK.

Step 3: Create a data dashboard

1. Follow the instructions in the figure below to go to the Data Dashboard page.

   

2. Refer to the instructions in the figure below to add a Basic Leaderboard chart to the canvas.

   

3. Select the newly added Basic Leaderboard chart and configure the chart parameters as follows:

   Parameter	Description
   ①Dataset	Choose flink_dataphin.
   ②Field	Category/Dimension: Choose the prod_code field. Metric/Measure: Choose the sale_num measure.
   ③Auto-refresh	Enable Auto-refresh and set the interval to 3 seconds.

4. Click Update to display the data leaderboard information on the Leaderboard chart.
