Analysis and Consumption Platform settings
Configure the Dataphin Analysis and Consumption Platform before using the Analysis Platform. Settings include dedicated compute engine assignments for the Analysis Platform, temporary table lifecycle, and data result download and approval controls.
Prerequisites
You have created a compute engine. For more information, see Compute engine.
Permissions
Only a super administrator or system administrator can configure these settings.
Procedure
-
On the Dataphin home page, choose Management Center > System Settings from the top navigation bar.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, click Analysis and Consumption Platform to open the Platform Settings page.
-
On the Platform Settings page, configure the parameters.
NoteThe Allow data result download, Enable download approval, and approval template settings apply only to the dedicated compute engine for the Analysis Platform and database SQL execution within the Analysis Platform. Results from tasks run in other projects follow the download and approval rules of those specific projects.
Parameter
Description
Dedicated compute engine for the Analysis Platform
compute engine
Processes tasks for the Analysis Platform.
To bind a dedicated compute engine for the analysis platform for the first time:
-
Click Bind Compute Engine.
-
In the Bind compute engine for Analysis Platform dialog box, select a compute engine for the Analysis Platform.
-
Click OK.
Important-
Once bound, the compute engine cannot be changed.
-

Analysis Platform settings
temporary materialized table lifecycle
Storage duration for temporary materialized tables. Options: 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, or Custom (up to 365 days).
Applies to temporary materialized tables created at runtime within the dedicated compute engine for the Analysis Platform.
NoteAn excessively long lifecycle consumes storage space. Choose a reasonable duration.
Allow data result download
When enabled, users can download computation results from a Notebook in the Analysis Platform.
Enable download approval
When enabled, downloading computation results from a Notebook requires approval.
approval template
Required when download approval is enabled. Configure the template to require approval from a project administrator, section administrator, or security administrator.
In-project execution configuration
Lifecycle for in-project temporary tables
Storage duration for temporary tables generated when tasks run within a project. Options: 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, or Custom (up to 365 days).
