Create GaussDB (DWS) compute source

Updated at:

A GaussDB (DWS) compute source connects Dataphin to your GaussDB (DWS) cluster, enabling the project to run GAUSSDB_SQL tasks, ad hoc queries, and general scripts. This topic describes how to create a GaussDB (DWS) compute source after the Dataphin compute engine is configured to use GaussDB (DWS).

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that you have:

Create a GaussDB (DWS) compute source

  1. On the Dataphin home page, go to Planning > Compute Source.

  2. On the Compute Source page, click Add Compute Source and select GaussDB (DWS) Compute Source.

  3. In the Create Compute Source dialog box, configure the following parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Compute type

    Select Gaussdb (DWS).

    Compute source name

Enter a name using Chinese characters, letters, digits, underscores (_), or hyphens (-). Maximum 64 characters.

    Compute source description (optional)

Enter a brief description. Maximum 128 characters.

    Version

    Only version 9.1.0 is supported.

    JDBC URL

Pre-filled from Management Center > Engine Settings. This field is read-only and cannot be modified.

    Schema

Enter the schema name for the compute engine database (for example, public).

    Username/Password

Enter the username and password for the GaussDB (DWS) compute engine database.

  4. Click Test Connection to verify connectivity.

  5. After the connection test passes, click Submit.

After the GaussDB (DWS) compute source is created, attach it to your project. For more information, see .
