Instance storage configuration

Limits

Baseline instances cannot be configured and are always retained for 15 calendar days.

Permission description

By default, only super administrators and system administrators can modify instance storage configurations.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Dataphin home page, and from the top menu bar, select Development -> Task Maintenance.

2. To access the Instance Storage Configuration page, follow the steps below:

   Select Global Configuration -> Instance Storage Configuration.

   

3. Click Edit to set the retention period for instances and operation logs.

   Changes take effect immediately. Instances and operation logs that exceed the retention period are automatically purged. A longer retention period increases storage usage.

   Parameter	Description
   Recurring instance and operation log retention period	Configurable from 7 to 400 days. Default: 15 calendar days.
   Data backfill instance and operation log retention period	Configurable from 7 to 200 days. Default: 15 calendar days.
   Data backfill workflow sync purge	Disabled by default. When disabled, the data backfill instance retains its top-level workflow details indefinitely. However, internal data timestamps and instances are purged according to the Recurring instance and operation log retention period and Data backfill instance and operation log retention period settings. After purging, the expanded data backfill instance shows no contents. When enabled, the system synchronously purges the data backfill workflow information (the outermost layer of the data backfill instance) based on the Recurring instance and operation log retention period and Data backfill instance and operation log retention period settings.
   One-time instance and operation log periodic purge	Disabled by default. When enabled, you can set the retention period for one-time instances and their operation logs.
   One-time instance and operation log retention period	Available after One-time Instance And Operation Log Periodic Purge is enabled. Configurable from 7 to 200 days. Default: 15 calendar days.

4. Click Confirm.

5. In the Confirm System Configuration Changes dialog box, click Confirm.
