View and edit table specifications and control the R&D process
R&D specifications define the time partition, data timestamp, table naming conventions, and process control for business objects and activities at the plate level. You can view and edit table specifications and manage R&D process control.
Prerequisites
Ensure that the data plate is created. For more information, see Create a data plate.
Permission requirements
Only the super administrator, system administrator, and plate architect can edit table specifications and control the R&D process.
View and edit table specifications

MaxCompute Compute Engine: STRING.
-
-
Default Format: Select the default format for the time partition. The default is yyyyMMdd. Supported formats: yyyyMMdd and yyyy-MM-dd.
-
Description: Provide a brief description of the time partition, within 128 characters.
Time Partition - Hour

Enable process control
-
To use the R&D specification feature, you must enable the asset operation Pro feature or the intelligent R&D edition.
-
If you have the basic R&D edition of the Dataphin instance, you must also enable the asset operation Pro feature to use the R&D specification feature.
After you enable process control, all business objects and activities require approval from the plate architect before they can be published.
-
