Resource Monitoring
Resource monitoring lets you enable or disable the schedule resource dashboard for your Dataphin instance. This topic describes how to configure this setting in the Management Center.
Feature limitations
Resource monitoring covers only resources within the Dataphin cluster.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that you have:
Prometheus monitoring deployed. Contact the Dataphin deployment team to set up Prometheus. If you do not have access to the deployment team, ask your Dataphin administrator.
-
A metadata warehouse account or an administrator account.
NoteThe schedule resource dashboard pulls monitoring data from Prometheus. Verify that the Prometheus service is running correctly in your environment—otherwise, monitoring data may be inaccurate or missing.
Procedure
Log in with a metadata warehouse account or an administrator account to access the metadata warehouse tenant.
On the Dataphin home page, go to Management Center > System Settings in the top menu bar.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose System Settings > Resource Settings.
On the Resource Configuration page, click the Resource Monitoring tab.
-
Under the Resource Monitoring tab, select Enable or Shutdown for the schedule resource dashboard.
-
Enable: Turns on the schedule resource dashboard. By default, this feature is enabled. When enabled, all tenants can view the following in the Operation Center:
Global schedule resource allocation and usage for the current Dataphin instance
Resource consumption trends within the tenant
A list of tasks that need optimization
This helps you assess resource utilization, scale resources when needed, and optimize poorly configured tasks. For more information, see .
Shutdown: Turns off the schedule resource dashboard. The dashboard becomes unavailable to all tenants. You can re-enable it at any time by selecting Enable.
