You can preview, publish, copy, transfer, rename, and delete dashboards from the Workbench page. You can also view access statistics and enter recovery mode.

Preview a dashboard

  1. Access the DataV console.

  2. On the Workbench page, hover over a dashboard.

  3. Click the image icon to preview the dashboard.image

Publish data dashboard

  1. Access the DataV console.

  2. On the Workbench page, hover over a dashboard.

  3. Click the image icon to publish the dashboard.image

  4. In the dialog box that appears, click Publish Screen.

    Note

    Once a dashboard is Published, its content is locked. After each edit, you can use Snapshot Management to quickly sync your changes to the published version. For more information, see Snapshot Management.

View access statistics

  1. Access the DataV console.

  2. On the Workbench page, hover over a dashboard.

  3. Click the image..png icon to view access statistics for the current dashboard.image

  4. In the Access Statistics dialog box, view the Page Views (PV) and Unique Visitors (UV) values for the current dashboard.image.png

Copy a dashboard

  1. Access the DataV console.

  2. On the Workbench page, select a dashboard.

  3. Click the image icon and then click Copy Project.image

    A copy of the dashboard is automatically created.

Copy and transfer a dashboard

Copy a dashboard to another user by specifying their transfer ID.

Note

The Professional Edition (Trial) does not include a transfer ID. You can only copy your dashboards to users of the Personal Edition or later. You cannot receive dashboards from other users through the copy and transfer feature. For more information about version specifications, see Specifications.

  1. Access the DataV console.

  2. On the Workbench page, select a dashboard.

  3. Click Copy and Transfer under the image icon.image.png

  4. In the Copy Project to Others dialog box, enter the target transfer ID and click OK.image.png

Enter recovery mode

Important

Use recovery mode when a dashboard becomes unresponsive. Common causes include a filter that creates an infinite loop, a data source configuration with a large data volume, or a logic issue in a custom widget. In recovery mode, you can delete the problematic content and then edit the dashboard.

  1. Access the DataV console.

  2. On the Workbench page, select a dashboard.

  3. Click the image icon and then click Enter Recovery Mode.image.png

  4. The canvas editor opens in recovery mode. Delete the problematic content and publish the dashboard again.

    Note

    In recovery mode, data requests and rendering are paused.

Rename project

  1. Access the DataV console.

  2. On the Workbench page, select a dashboard.

  3. Click the image icon and then click Rename.image.png

  4. Enter a new name for the dashboard and press the Enter key.

Delete project

Note

Before you delete a dashboard, you must unpublish it.

  1. Access the DataV console.

  2. On the Workbench page, select a dashboard.

  3. Click the image icon and then click Delete.image.png

  4. In the Delete Dashboard dialog box, click Delete again.

    Important

    A deleted dashboard cannot be recovered. Perform this operation with caution.

Show all

Click Show All to the right of Dashboards to open the All Dashboards page. On this page, you can sort dashboards, search by name, and perform all creation and management operations. You can also click the image icon or the image icon to filter by PC or mobile dashboards.
