1. (Optional) Create a workspace

A workspace is the basic unit for project development and management in DataV-Note. The system creates a default workspace that you can use immediately. You can also create multiple workspaces to manage different projects and achieve project isolation. For more information, see Create a workspace.

2. Create a project

In DataV-Note, a project is where you generate analysis reports. You can create a project to start your interactive visual analysis.

3. Add a dataset

You can add your business data to a project for analysis. DataV-Note supports the following two data sources:

  • Upload local data: You can upload data to your project from local CSV files.

  • Add a data source: You can connect to databases such as RDS MySQL, PolarDB for PostgreSQL, and Hologres. This lets you retrieve data to create and analyze reports.

4. Edit the report

A report is a Notebook analysis document. You can add different analysis units to analyze data and provide explanations.

  • You can use SQL query analysis to fetch and pre-process data.

  • You can use Python code analysis to analyze and process data.

  • You can use chart analysis for data visualization to make the analysis results easier to understand.

  • You can use geospatial analysis to analyze geospatial data and explore geographic data patterns.

  • You can use interactive document analysis. This allows users to interact with data by adjusting parameters or selecting different filter conditions.

  • You can use natural language interactive analysis. This allows users to query data using natural language, which improves convenience.

  • You can use machine learning analysis for predictive analysis, classification, and clustering. This automates the discovery of patterns and trends in data.

  • You can use AI smart reports to automatically generate analysis reports. This provides data insights and suggestions, and reduces the time and effort required for manual reporting.

After you create the report, you can generate reports for various business scenarios, such as market analysis, sales analysis, financial analysis, supply chain analysis, and customer operations reports, depending on your business needs.

5. Preview & publish the report

After you finish editing the report, you can preview and publish the report.

6. View the report

You can read, export, and share the report to assist with your business decisions.
