Governance items are rules that govern published files. Data governance personnel can use the Global, Individual, or Workspace View perspective to find and resolve pending issues and advance the team's data governance objectives. This topic describes how to view and configure governance items.
Background information
Data Asset Governance creates a set of default governance items. You can enable or disable these items for each workspace. If a governance item is disabled, Data Asset Governance no longer detects the corresponding governance issues in that workspace.

To enable or disable governance items, you must have one of the following roles or permissions:

Alibaba Cloud account

A RAM user with the
AliyunDataWorksFullAccesspermission -
tenant-level data governance administrator role

workspace-level data governance administrator role

Users without these permissions can only view governance items in their DataWorks workspaces.
View and configure governance items
Go to the Data Asset Governance page.
Log on to the DataWorks console. In the top navigation bar, select the desired region. In the left-side navigation pane, choose . On the page that appears, click Go to Data Asset Governance.

In the navigation pane on the left, click to go to the Configure Governance Item page.

On the Configure Governance Item page, you can view governance items on the R&D, Storage, Computing, Quality, and Security tabs.
The page provides filters such as Applicable Object, Object Scope, and workspace to refine the list of items. To modify the configuration, click the Edit button in the upper-left corner. Then, use the switch in the Enable column to enable or disable each governance item.
Note-
Searching by Name supports fuzzy matching. Enter a keyword to find all governance items that contain it in their name.

At the top of the page, select a Workspace and click Edit. You can then enable or disable governance items individually or in bulk.
NoteAt the top of the Configure Governance Item page, you can select a target Workspace and enable or disable its governance items. If a governance item is disabled, Data Asset Governance will not detect the corresponding governance issues for that workspace. These issues will also not be displayed under .
