Accelerate data warehouse modeling with templates

Description

Retail E-commerce

Provides an out-of-the-box data warehouse model for the retail industry, covering dimensions such as orders, members, and products. This template helps retail e-commerce and other transaction-driven businesses accelerate data warehouse development and adopt industry best practices in data modeling.

Bank

Provides an out-of-the-box data warehouse model for the banking industry, covering dimensions such as deposit products, lending products, and loan disbursements. This template helps banks establish unified data model standards and specifications, accelerate digital transformation, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.

Automobile Manufacturing

Provides an out-of-the-box data warehouse model for the automobile manufacturing industry, covering dimensions such as workshops, production lines, and workstations. This template helps automobile manufacturers accelerate digital production transformation, establish industry-leading standards, align with manufacturing operations, and tightly integrate hardware systems with data.

Notes

  • The Bank and Automobile Manufacturing templates are available in trial and full versions. To use the full version, click Contact Us.

  • Before you load a template, ensure Intelligent Data Modeling is enabled. For more information, see Intelligent Data Modeling.

Load a template

This section uses the Retail E-commerce template as an example.

  1. Log on to the DataWorks console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Quick Start > DataWorks Gallery, and then select Data Model in the Category section.

  2. Click the Retail E-commerce template to enter the Retail E-commerce template details page.

  3. Click Use Complete Edition to open the Load Template configuration dialog box.

  4. Select a Work space and a Loading Method, and then click Determine.

  5. After the template loads, click Go to view to open the Data Modeling page.

  6. In the left-side navigation pane of the Data Modeling page, click Common Layer > Data Domain to view the created data for the common and application layers. You can then adjust the data to meet your business requirements.
