The DataWorks Data Modeling homepage displays the number of models and derived metrics in your tenant and lists models from the current workspace published to the production environment within the last 30 days. This helps you track recent model activity.

Access data modeling

  1. Log on to the DataWorks console. In the target region, click Data Development and O&M > Data Modeling in the left-side navigation pane. Select a workspace from the drop-down list and click Go to Data Modeling.

  2. (Optional) If you have not yet activated DataWorks Data Modeling, click Activate Now.

    Important

    DataWorks Data Modeling is an advanced service that must be purchased separately. For more information on specifications and billing, see Data Modeling billing.

  3. Click Homepage in the top navigation bar to go to the Data Modeling homepage.

Model overview

The DataWorks Data Modeling homepage shows the number of models and derived metrics in your tenant and lists models published in the last 30 days, giving you an overview of all modeling activities in the workspace.

Animation area

This area displays an animated demonstration of the DataWorks Data Modeling modules, including Data Warehouse Planning, data standards, dimensional modeling, and metrics. This animation shows the features of each module to help you create models that meet your business needs. For more information, see the following topics:

  • View model data overview

    In this area, you can filter by Workspace to view the number of objects created in the target workspace, such as Dimension Table, Fact Table, Application Table, Aggregate Table, and Derived Metric. By default, the total number of objects created within the current tenant is displayed.

    Note

    The quantity shown under Total determines the billing for DataWorks Data Modeling.

  • View model data details

    Click View Details to see the number of models created in each workspace within the current tenant.

This area lists models from the current workspace published to the production environment in the last 30 days. The list includes the publisher and publication time, helping you track recent model deployments.
