This topic provides solutions for common task failures that occur after you configure the intelligent monitoring system in Operation Center.

Not receiving task failure alerts

  • Symptom: You do not receive an alert notification for a failed task after configuring the intelligent monitoring system in Operation Center.

  • Possible cause:

    This issue is typically caused by an incorrect phone number or email address for the alert recipient.

    When a DataWorks task fails, the system attempts to send an alert to the recipient configured in the intelligent monitoring system. If this contact information is incorrect, the system defaults to using the contact on the Manage Contacts page. This fallback contact is intended for critical account notices, such as overdue payments, not for DataWorks alerts.

  • Solution:

    Ensure the alert recipient's phone number and email address in the DataWorks intelligent monitoring system are correct.

    To view or modify this information, click your account name in the upper-right corner and go to the User Info section.
