If you are familiar with the legacy version of Data Studio, this document highlights the key feature changes to help you adapt to the new environment and continue your development work. New users can skip this document and start using the new Data Studio directly.
This document covers modules that have been moved or significantly changed. For a complete list of changes, see the Data Studio Upgrade Guide.
Changes to common features
Business flow
-
In the new Data Studio, you can create and tag directories to mirror the structure of your legacy business flow directories.

-
The business flow dashboard is now the Directory Dashboard, which lets you view any directory.

-
The new Data Studio introduces Scheduled Workflow Orchestration.

Run and run with parameters
In the new version of Data Studio, the top toolbar on the node editing page has a fixed Run button. All settings required for a run, such as the Compute Resource and Parameter, must be configured in the run configuration panel on the right.

Submit
In the new version of Data Studio, the Submit function is consolidated into the deployment process. Authorized users can deploy directly, and standard mode also supports packaging and deploying tasks to the Deployment Center.

Table management
The new Data Studio introduces the Data Catalog for table management. In Data Catalog, you can create tables using a visual form, code, or an AI assistant.

Resource and function development
The new Data Studio introduces the Resource Management module to centrally manage resources and functions.

Ad hoc query
The new Data Studio introduces a personal directory that supports code debugging. Once a task is ready for production, you can move the file from your personal directory to the project directory, configure scheduling settings, and then deploy it.
