This topic describes how to configure, apply, and manage monitoring rules in Data Quality on the Rule List page.
Rule configuration
You can configure monitoring rules for a single table or use a template to configure rules for multiple tables in batches.
Configure monitoring rules for a single table
For details, see Configure rules for a single table.
Configure monitoring rules for multiple tables by using a template
The general workflow for configuring rules from a template is as follows:
Select a template and configure the check method.
Data Quality provides table-level and field-level built-in rule templates. After you select a template, you can define the check method for the target table to validate its data quality.
Add the tables or fields to be validated in batches.
Select the tables or fields to check and apply the rule template to them in batches.
Create or associate a monitor.
A monitor targets a specific Data Scope, such as a partition in a partitioned table. By associating a rule with a monitor, you define which quality checks to run on the data within that range.
For details, see Configure rules for multiple tables based on a template.
NoteThis batch configuration is ideal for applying consistent quality standards across multiple tables.
Access the Rule List page
Log on to the DataWorks console. In the target region, click in the left-side navigation pane. Select a workspace from the drop-down list and click Go to Data Quality.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
