The Data Studio recycle bin stores deleted nodes, workflows, tables, and resources from your workspace. From the recycle bin, you can restore these items or permanently delete them.

Notes

  • When you restore a node, workflow, resource, or function from the recycle bin, Data Studio updates its creator, creation time, modifier, and modification time.

  • When you undeploy a node from the production environment in Data Studio:

    • If you choose to delete the node in the final step of the undeploy process, the node is moved to the recycle bin.

    • If you choose to skip deleting the node, it is not moved to the recycle bin, and its node ID is cleared.

  • The following table describes which deleted items are moved to the recycle bin and which are not.

    Skips recycle bin

Items deleted from the following locations in Data Studio are moved to the recycle bin:

    • DataStudio: Node and Workflow deleted from Project Directory.

    • Manual: Workflow and Node deleted from Manually Triggered Workflows and Manually Triggered Task.

    • Components: Components deleted from Workspace Component Management.

    • Resource Management: deleted Resource and Function.

    Note

If a deleted item was in a folder, the recycle bin does not display the folder. When you restore the item, the system also restores its original folder.

Items deleted from the following locations in Data Studio are not moved to the recycle bin:

    • In DataStudio: Items in Personal Directory, including the following:

      • Files in Show My Nodes Only.

      • Local folders and their files added by clicking the image icon.

        Note

If you delete these files from Data Studio, Data Studio also deletes them from your local device, and they do not go to the local recycle bin.

      • Files in a NAS file system mounted to your personal development environment (default path: /mnt/data).

        Note

If you enable the recycle bin feature for the mounted NAS in the NAS console, deleted files move to the file system's recycle bin.

      • Files in the built-in storage space of your personal development environment (default path: /mnt/workspace).

    • Empty folders from any location.

    • Data Directory: tables and views.
