The Resource O&M feature monitors the usage of resource groups used to run DataWorks nodes. This topic describes how to use the Resource O&M feature.

Background information

You can customize monitoring metrics and automated O&M rules for instances running on a resource group based on your business requirements. The Resource O&M page visualizes resource group usage and instance status. This enables automated monitoring and O&M for resource groups and instances, which reduces manual operations and improves O&M efficiency.

Limits

Resource O&M supports only exclusive resource groups for scheduling and exclusive resource groups for Data Integration.
The Resource O&M feature is available in the following regions: China (Hangzhou), China (Shanghai), China (Beijing), China (Zhangjiakou), China (Shenzhen), China (Hong Kong), Japan (Tokyo), Singapore, Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Indonesia (Jakarta), Germany (Frankfurt), US (Silicon Valley), US (Virginia), and UAE (Dubai).

Go to the Resource O&M page

Log on to the DataWorks console. In the target region, click Data Development and O&M > Operation Center in the left-side navigation pane. Select a workspace from the drop-down list and click Go to Operation Center.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Resource O&M. By default, the page displays a list of exclusive resource groups used by DataWorks.

Resource group list

The Resource O&M page displays the resource groups currently used to run DataWorks nodes (resource groups that are in the Running state). You can perform the following operations:

Search for a resource group.

Enter a resource group name in the search box and click to perform a fuzzy search.
View other resource groups.

Click View All in the upper-right corner to go to the Resource Groups page in the DataWorks console.

Parameter	Description
Resource Group Name	The custom name of the resource group that you specified during creation. Click the resource group name to go to its details page. For more information, see View details of a resource group.
Type	The type of the resource group that you selected during creation. Only Data Integration Resource Group and Scheduling Resource Group are supported. Note The Resource O&M feature supports only exclusive resource groups.
Status	The current status of the resource group. Valid values include: Running Expired Released Starting Creation Failed Updating Update Failed Released Timeout
Last Modified At	The expiration date of the resource group.
Specifications	The specifications of the resource group specified at creation.
Quantity	The number of resources specified at creation.
Usage	The current usage of the resource group. Click the icon next to Usage to sort the resource groups by usage in ascending or descending order.

Resource group details

The resource group details page displays the usage of a specific resource group, including its basic information, usage curve, and a list of nodes. You can also customize monitoring rules to implement intelligent monitoring and automated O&M for your resources. To view and configure O&M rules, see Automated O&M.

Area	Description	Actions
Basic Information area	This area displays the basic information about the resource group.	If you want to modify the resource group information, such as scaling the resource group up or down, click More Actions to go to the Resource Groups page in the DataWorks console.
2	This area displays the usage of the resource group, including the Current Usage, the number of instances in the Running state, and the number of instances in the Queueing state.	To view the monitoring rules configured for this resource group, click Monitoring to go to Task Monitoring > Monitoring and Alerting > Rule Management.
3	This area displays all instances on the resource group, grouped by status and synchronization mode: Running Batch Synchronization Node Instances Batch Synchronization Node Instances in Queue Running Real-time Synchronization Node Instances	You can click Automatic O&M to go to the O&M Assistant > Automatic O&M page. For more information about the automated O&M feature, see Automated O&M.
4	This area provides a usage curve that visualizes the resource group's usage.	You can set a time range to filter the resource usage that you want to view. You can also hover over the usage curve to view resource usage at a specific time.
