The data catalog feature in DataWorks lets you synchronize data from a Hologres table to MaxCompute for efficient big data storage and high-performance processing.
Prerequisites
-
You have created a MaxCompute project and a Hologres instance.
-
You have associated the MaxCompute project and the Hologres instance with a DataWorks workspace as computing resources and verified connectivity.
Limitations
-
Only data from internal databases in Hologres can be synchronized to MaxCompute.
-
For limitations on using Hologres external tables in MaxCompute, see Hologres external tables.
-
Data type mapping between MaxCompute and Hologres differs. Some Hologres data types are not supported for synchronization to MaxCompute.
Entry point
To start, open the configuration page for synchronizing Hologres data to MaxCompute.
-
Go to the Workspaces page in the DataWorks console. In the top navigation bar, select a desired region. Find the desired workspace and choose in the Actions column.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, click the
icon to open the Data Directory pane. -
In the directory tree on the left, under Hologres, find the internal Table that you want to synchronize. Right-click the table and select Data Synchronization to MaxCompute.
-
Select the path to which the node is created, and click Confirm.
-
In the dialog box that appears, enter a name for the data synchronization task and press Enter. This opens the configuration page for synchronizing Hologres data to MaxCompute.
Node task configuration
On the configuration page, configure the Data Synchronization to MaxCompute task.
You do not need to configure the Hologres source parameters. The system automatically populates them from the selected internal table.
