Dear user,
The IP address for the Direct Mail service domain smtpdm.aliyun.com in the China (Hangzhou) region has changed to 101.132.111.151. We have detected that your service is still using the old IP address, 140.205.94.5, to send emails. The old IP address will be decommissioned at 10:00:00 (UTC+8) on February 8, 2023. After this time, attempts to send emails using the old IP address will fail. To avoid service interruptions, please update your email sending application to use the new IP address as soon as possible.
You may encounter this issue because your program has cached an outdated IP address or your service host is configured for forced domain name resolution. If you are unsure how to resolve this issue, follow the steps below:
You can ensure that the dig smtpdm.aliyun.com command returns the latest virtual IP address (VIP): 101.132.111.151. If the command returns an old VIP, run the cat /etc/hosts command to check whether a static host entry is configured for smtpdm.aliyun.com. If an entry exists, delete it. If no static host entry is configured, contact your network administrator to check for forced domain name resolution.
After you confirm that the dig smtpdm.aliyun.com command returns the latest VIP, 101.132.111.151, you can restart the service process to clear any cached outdated VIPs from your program.
If the service fails to connect to the latest VIP, 101.132.111.151, after the restart, you can contact your network administrator to determine whether the VIP and ports 25, 465, and 80 need to be added to the network allowlist.
If you still cannot send emails after completing the preceding steps, you can email the Direct Mail service team at dm-support@alibaba-inc.com for assistance.
