Send emails using the console

Use the Direct Mail console to create and manage batch send tasks. Select a recipient list, email template, and sender address to send emails to multiple recipients at once.

The console supports batch emails only. It does not currently support sending triggered emails.

Send task list

The Send Email page in the Direct Mail console lists all your send tasks. For each task, the list shows:

  • Send status: the current state of the task

  • Request count: the request count for the task

  • Creation time: when the task was created

Send batch emails from the console

  1. Log on to the Direct Mail console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click Send Email.

  3. In the upper-right corner, click Create Send Task. The Create Email Send Task dialog box appears.

  4. Configure the send task fields, then click Send.

Required fields:

  • Recipient list: the list of email addresses to send to.

  • Template name: the email template to use for this task.

  • Sender address: the address emails are sent from.

  • Sender address type: controls how the From address appears to recipients.

    • Random Address: displays a system-generated random string combined with the sender address.

    • Sender Address: displays only the sender address.

  • Email tag: a label for tracking and categorizing this send task.

Optional fields:

  • IP pool: assigns the task to a specific IP pool (if any).
