Set up DLF
Learn how to authorize DLF to access cloud resources and activate the service in your target region.
RAM users: If you log on as a RAM user, the Alibaba Cloud account owner or a RAM administrator must grant you DLF-related permissions in the RAM console first. Otherwise, you cannot access the DLF console. DLF provides the following system policies:

AliyunDLFFullAccess: Full access to all DLF APIs.

AliyunDLFReadOnlyAccess: Read-only access.

Step 1: Authorize DLF to access cloud resources
This is a one-time authorization. It creates a service-linked role named AliyunDLFNextWorkFlowDefaultRole that allows DLF to access other cloud resources. You do not need to repeat this for other RAM users.

Click Grant Permissions.

On the RAM Quick Authorization page, click Authorize.

Return to the DLF console and verify that Grant Permissions to Access Cloud Resources shows as authorized.
Log on to the DLF console
Step 2: Activate DLF in a region
You must activate DLF separately in each region where you plan to use it. After activation, you can manage lakehouse resources in that region.

Log on to the DLF console

In the top navigation bar, select the region where you want to activate DLF.

On the right side of Activate Data Lake Formation (DLF), click Activate.
After activation, you can manage your lakehouse resources in the DLF console.
