When a ticket in Data Management (DMS) is routed to your account for approval, DMS sends a notification so you can act promptly. DMS supports four notification channels: DingTalk, DingTalk Enterprise, Lark, and email.
Choose a notification channel
| Channel | Supported account types | Approve directly from notification |
|---|---|---|
| DingTalk, DingTalk Enterprise, and Lark | Alibaba Cloud account, RAM user, role account | Yes — approve on mobile devices |
| Alibaba Cloud account, role account | No — follow the link to the console |
DingTalk outside China is not supported. A role account is an account that logs in to the Alibaba Cloud Management Console through user-based SSO or role-based SSO. For more information, see SSO overview.
Set up DingTalk, DingTalk Enterprise, or Lark notifications
Configure settings in both DMS and your messaging platform to receive approval messages and approve tickets without leaving the app. For detailed instructions, see Use DingTalk, DingTalk Enterprise, and Lark for notifications and Approve tickets on mobile devices.
DMS lets you manage your own personal information. Administrators can also manage information for all users.
Set up email notifications
Email notifications alert you when a ticket is routed to your account, but approval must be completed in the console. Follow the steps below to enable email notifications through Alibaba Cloud Message Center.
For more background, see Basic message reception management.
Log in to Message Center.
Go to Message Settings > Common Settings and find the Notifications Regarding the Creation and Activation of Product Instances row.
Select the Email check box, then click Modify in the Actions column. The Modify Message Reception Configuration page appears.
On the Receiving Channel tab, verify that the recipient's email settings are correct.
After completing these steps, you receive an email notification each time a DMS ticket is routed to your Alibaba Cloud account for approval.
