This topic explains how to resolve inconsistencies between the table schema in Schema Design and the one in the base database.

Procedure

Remove the target table from all associated tickets in the In design state. You can ignore tickets that are Published or Closed.

  1. Log in to DMS 5.0.

  2. In the top navigation bar, choose Database Development > Schema Change > Schema Design.

    Note

If you use the DMS console in simple mode, move the pointer over the 2023-01-28_15-57-17.png icon in the upper-left corner of the console and choose All Features > Database Development > Schema Change > Schema Design.

  3. View the tickets associated with the target table.

    1. On the Schema Design Tickets page, click the ticket number of any associated ticket that is in the In design state.

    2. Hover over the target table name to view its associated tickets.

In the table details, you can view information such as associated tickets and their statuses (for example, In design), and the table schema baseline time.

  4. Remove the target table from the ticket.

    1. In the associated tickets section, click the target ticket number.

    2. On the Schema Design Configuration Wizard > Tables Changed in Project tab, click Remove from Ticket in the Actions column for the target table.

    3. Review and select the risk notifications, and then click Confirm Removal.

  5. Edit the target table to align its table schema in Schema Design with that of the base database.

    1. Open an In design ticket that contains the target table from the base database. In the physical table list on the left, right-click the target table.

    2. Select Design Table to edit the table.

    3. After you finish editing, click Save.

The system then automatically recollects the database metadata, ensuring the table schema in Schema Design is consistent with the one in the base database.
