Global Traffic Manager (GTM) supports the subscription billing model.
Subscription
Subscription is suitable for budget-based payment scenarios. The billable resources involved are as follows:
GTM instance: Purchase a Standard Edition or Ultimate Edition of GTM instance for a specified period (such as monthly or annually).
Detection task package: By default, the Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition each include 100 detection tasks per month for health checks. If you need more, purchase detection task packages when purchasing an instance.
SMS notification package: By default, GTM instances provide free SMS notifications within the Chinese mainland: 1,000 messages for the Standard Edition and 2,000 messages for the Ultimate Edition per month. If you need more, purchase SMS notification packages when purchasing an instance. Note: Messages to regions outside the Chinese mainland, including Hong Kong (China), Macao (China), and Taiwan (China), are not supported.

Detection task package
A detection task is created by applying a Health Check Template to an IP address. An instance includes 100 detection tasks by default. If you need more, purchase detection task packages when purchasing the instance. Detection tasks cannot be purchased or used independently.

Detection task calculation example
GTM 2.0 does not support associating multiple health check templates with a single IP address. The number of detection tasks = Number of detection nodes × Number of IP addresses. For example, if there are 3 IP addresses (ip1, ip2, ip3) in the address pool and 2 detection nodes are selected, the total number of detection tasks consumed is: Number of detection nodes × Number of IP addresses = 2 × 3 = 6 tasks.
SMS notification package
Used for sending SMS messages when health check encounters an exception. By default, each Standard Edition instance includes 1,000 SMS notifications per month, and each Ultimate Edition instance includes 2,000 SMS notifications per month. If you need more, purchase SMS notification packages when purchasing the instance.

Unused quotas for the current month do not roll over and will automatically expire at the end of the month.
Expiration
The system sends reminders 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before your instance expires.
If you do not renew upon expiration, the resolution service and detection tasks are automatically stopped, which may cause your business domain to become inaccessible.
7 days after expiration, GTM releases the instance and deletes the configuration data of the domain names.
