ISP DNS Cache Refresh instantly clears cached DNS records from China Telecom's DNS servers on demand, bypassing TTL wait times so your DNS changes take effect immediately.

Common scenarios:

Disaster recovery failover -- Route traffic to a backup server immediately after a failure.
DNS migration -- Propagate record changes quickly when switching CDN providers or hosting environments.
Record corrections -- Apply corrected DNS records across the China Telecom network without waiting for TTL expiration.

Flush the DNS cache

Prerequisites

Make sure that you have:

Purchased a Resource Plan for ISP DNS Cache Refresh.
Identified the exact domain name to flush (for example, example.com, www.example.com, or www.test.example.com).

To purchase a Resource Plan, go to the Alibaba Cloud DNS-ISP DNS Cache Refresh page. Each flush costs 7,000 RMB.

Procedure

Go to Cloud DNS-ISP DNS Cache Refresh.
Switch to the DNS Cache Refresh tab.
Enter the target domain name and click Click to Refresh.

Important
Only the exact domain name is flushed. Subdomains and wildcards are not supported.
In the Refresh Tasks section, check the Task Status column to verify that the flush completed successfully.
To check whether the changes have taken effect on carrier DNS servers, click DNS propagation check (China-wide).

Limitations

Limitation	Details
ISP coverage	China Telecom only. Other ISPs (China Unicom, China Mobile) and public DNS resolvers are not supported.
Domain scope	Exact domain names only. Subdomains and wildcards are not supported.
Internet-wide propagation	Flushing the China Telecom DNS cache does not guarantee internet-wide propagation.
Restricted domains	Domains subject to regulatory penalties from Chinese administrative authorities cannot use this service.

Billing

ISP DNS Cache Refresh is pay-per-use and requires a Resource Plan. Each flush costs 7,000 RMB.

Refund policy

Unused Resource Plans qualify for a no-questions-asked refund within 5 days of purchase. Request refunds from the Expenses and Costs console.

Important

Refunds are not available after 5 days or if the Resource Plan has been used.
