A domain's DNS records, forwarding rules, and cache settings take effect in a virtual private cloud (VPC) only after you associate the domain with that VPC.
Procedure
To set the effective scope for a Private Zone domain name:

Click Private Zone, then click the User Defined Zones tab.

On the User Defined Zones tab, locate the desired domain name and click Effective Scope in the Actions column. In the Effective Scope dialog box, use the selectors to specify the account, VPC type (for example, standard VPC), and region (for example, China (Hangzhou)). Then, select the checkbox next to the desired VPC to complete the configuration.
