This topic describes the pay-as-you-go billing method for Alibaba Cloud Document Mind and provides billing examples.

Pay-as-you-go billing method

Billing guide

After you activate the Document Mind service, charges for API calls are deducted in the following order: Free quota > Resource plan > Pay-as-you-go. After your free quota and resource plan are used up, the system automatically switches to the pay-as-you-go billing method to prevent service interruptions.
With pay-as-you-go billing, you are charged based on the actual number of API calls with no upper limit. Billing is calculated monthly using a tiered pricing model. When your usage reaches a new tier, the rate for that tier applies, and the system deducts the corresponding fees from your account.
For pay-as-you-go billing, Alibaba Cloud checks your account balance every hour for overdue payments. If your account has an overdue payment, your service may be suspended. To prevent service interruptions, ensure that your account has a sufficient balance.

Pay-as-you-go billing examples

After you activate the document format conversion service, you are billed for each billing cycle. Each document format conversion product is billed separately based on tiered pricing.

Example 1

If you use the PDF to Word API and the lightweight application to process a total of 990 pages in a calendar month, and your free quota of 1,000 pages has not been used, you do not need to pay any fees for that month.

Example 2

If you use the PDF to Word API and the lightweight application to process a total of 990 pages in a calendar month, and your free quota of 1,000 pages has been used up, the fee is calculated based on the 0 to 10,000 pages tier. The fee for the month is calculated as follows:

990 × 0.1 = CNY 99.

Example 3‬

If you use the PDF to Word API and the lightweight application to process a total of 151,000 pages in a calendar month, and your free quota of 1,000 pages has not been used, the fee for the month is calculated as follows:

The first 1,000 pages consume the free quota and incur no charges.

Of the remaining 150,000 pages, the first 10,000 pages are charged at CNY 0.1 per page, for a total of CNY 1,000.

Of the remaining 140,000 pages, the next 90,000 pages (from 10,001 to 100,000) are charged at CNY 0.08 per page, for a total of CNY 7,200.

The remaining 50,000 pages (from 100,001 to 150,000) are charged at CNY 0.06 per page, for a total of CNY 3,000.

Therefore, the total fee for the month is CNY 11,200.

Example 4

If you use the PDF to Word API and the lightweight application to process a total of 151,000 pages in a calendar month, and your free quota of 1,000 pages has been used up, the fee for the month is calculated as follows:

Of the 151,000 pages, the first 10,000 pages are charged at CNY 0.1 per page, for a total of CNY 1,000.

Of the remaining 141,000 pages, the next 90,000 pages (from 10,001 to 100,000) are charged at CNY 0.08 per page, for a total of CNY 7,200.

The remaining 51,000 pages (from 100,001 to 151,000) are charged at CNY 0.06 per page, for a total of CNY 3,060.

Therefore, the total fee for the month is CNY 11,260.

Note

Fees for API calls and lightweight application usage for the same product are combined. A resource plan purchased for a specific product can be used for both API calls and lightweight application usage for that product, but not for other products.
Fees for API calls and lightweight application usage for different products are calculated separately.
