Database Gateway is a service that enables remote access to databases in a private network. With Database Gateway, you can use Alibaba Cloud services to access and manage databases in an on-premises data center or from other cloud providers.
How it works
- You can install a database gateway agent locally.
- The database gateway agent establishes a secure and trusted channel with the Database Gateway cloud service. Channels created by different accounts and gateways are isolated from each other.
- After the channel is established, you can use an Alibaba Cloud database product, such as DMS or DBS, to access a database in your on-premises network. The product connects to your on-premises network through the channel.
