In the navigation pane on the left, click Indicator Management to open the Indicator Management page. On this page, you can create and manage indicators.
Create indicators
You can open the Create Indicator window in one of the following two ways:
On the Indicator Management page, click Create Indicator > Create MAS Indicator or Create Compound Indicator in the upper-left corner. This opens the Create Indicator window.
Create an indicator in the Indicators step of the Create an experiment workflow.
Create a Mobile Analytics (MAS) indicator
Creating a Mobile Analytics (MAS) indicator adds an existing event from Mobile Analytics > Custom Analytics > Custom Configuration > Events to your A/B testing indicators.
Create a compound indicator
You can create a custom compound indicator by combining existing indicators.
Indicator Name: Required. Enter a name for the new indicator.
Indicator Description: Required. Enter a description for the new indicator.
Indicator Formula: Required. Select two existing indicators and choose one of the four operators to define the relationship between them:
Union (∪): A user triggers the compound indicator if they trigger either Indicator 1 or Indicator 2.
Intersection (∩): Indicates that both Indicator 1 and Indicator 2 are triggered.
Difference (-): Indicates that Indicator 1 is triggered, but Indicator 2 is not.
Division (/): Represents a conversion rate. For example, if Indicator 1 represents clicks on a button and Indicator 2 represents impressions of the button, the conversion rate is calculated as sum(Indicator 1) / sum(Indicator 2).
After an indicator is created, it appears on the Indicator Management page and is available for selection in the Indicators step of the Create an experiment page.
Find indicators
The Indicator Management page displays 10 indicators per page. You can use the filter and search box in the upper-right corner to find specific indicators.
Delete an indicator
On the Indicator Management page, find the indicator that you want to delete and click Delete in the Actions column. In the confirmation dialog box that appears, click OK.
A/B Testing provides three default system indicators: 7-day Retention, System Indicator UV (Unique Visitor), and System Indicator PV. Default system indicators cannot be deleted.
