Project authorization

Procedure

1. Log on to the IoT Platform console.
2. Select the project name and click Project Settings.
3. (Optional) If your account has not been authorized, the Permission Authorization dialog box appears. Grant permissions to the platform.
   1. In the Permission Authorization dialog box, click Confirm.
   2. On the Cloud Resource Access Authorization page, click Agree to Authorization.
4. On the Member Management page, click Add Member.
5. Configure the following required parameters and click OK.
   • Project Member Account

     Specify the account to which you want to grant permissions. The account can be an Alibaba Cloud account, a Taobao username, or a 1688.com member name.

     Note Permissions cannot be granted to RAM users. The specified account must be an individual or enterprise Alibaba Cloud account. You can register an Alibaba Cloud account.
   • Alias

     Enter an alias for the member account. This simplifies account maintenance.

   • Permission Type
     • Specific Products

       The member can edit only the specified products. They cannot create, copy, or delete products in the project.

     • Project Authorization

       Permissions are granted at the project level. The member can edit existing products and any new products that are added to the project. They can also create new products in the project.

   • Permission Scope

     Select the permission scope for the member. This scope is used in conjunction with the Permission Type. The following table describes the available scopes.

     		Specific Products	Project Authorization
     Developer Center	The Developer Center includes product development, app development, the service center, and mass production management. This scope is suitable for collaborative development and can be granted to multiple members.	Only authorized products are displayed on the project homepage.	The project homepage displays all products in the project.
     Operations Hub	The Operations Hub includes device O&M and user operations, which form a complete Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. You can deliver this solution directly to device operators.	The Operations Hub displays statistical results for only the specified products.	The Operations Hub displays statistical results for all products in the project.
     Mass Production Center	The Mass Production Center contains the Mass Production Management page, which is used to manage activation code operations. Permissions can be granted exclusively to activation code managers or production line personnel to prevent accidental operations on product information.	Mass Production Management page displays only authorized products, and only these products can be mass-produced.	Mass Production ManagementThe page displays all products in the project. All of these products can be mass-produced.
     Member Management	After this permission is granted, the member can manage all other member accounts in the project. You can grant this permission to a third-party vendor to delegate project management without sharing your account credentials.	Product management is not included.	Member ManagementOn the page, the member can add, edit, and delete other members.
