The platform provides various app versions for different project types and requirements. These versions are described below.

| Proprietary brand project | Cloud Intelligence App | Choose the Cloud Intelligence App if you have low requirements for personalization and want to deliver your app quickly. The Cloud Intelligence App requires no extra development. After you download the app, you can directly configure networks for and control devices. The app currently supports Wi-Fi, Ethernet, cellular, Bluetooth, and Zigbee devices. |
| Proprietary app | Choose a proprietary app if you have development capabilities and want to create a custom branded app. Develop your own personalized features and business logic. For the device-to-cloud connection, use the SDKs, APIs, and plugins that the platform provides. The platform provides corresponding guides to help you. For more information, see Development Guide. Note Before your branded app is complete, use the Cloud Intelligence App to test if the device's network configuration, control, and Over-the-Air (OTA) update links work correctly. | |
| Tmall Genie Ecosystem project | Tmall Genie App | Products created in a Tmall Genie Ecosystem project must connect to the Tmall Genie App. These products can be controlled by the full range of Tmall Genie ecosystem terminals, such as various Tmall Genie speaker models, the Tmall Genie App, Tmall Genie in-car systems, and AliGenie Inside smart devices. |

After you select a delivery terminal for your app, you can configure its features. The platform provides the following features. The table below shows the differences for each app (√ = Supported, x = Not supported, - = Not applicable).
