Control devices with Tmall Genie using the Cloud Intelligence App-Link Living-阿里云帮助中心

You can use a Tmall Genie speaker to control products managed by the Cloud Intelligence App. To enable this, you must define standard function properties for your product on the IoT Platform. The product must also belong to a category supported by Tmall Genie.

This example uses a Tmall Genie speaker. For more information, see Tmall Genie Recommended Categories and Tmall Genie Device Cases.

Limitations

Only devices activated in the Chinese mainland can be connected to Tmall Genie.

Enable in the console

Confirm that the Tmall Genie control switch is on.
1. Select an existing project or create a new one. For more information, see Create a project.
2. Create a new product. For more information, see Create a product.
3. Define product features. For more information, see Define product features.
4. Add a test device. For more information, see Device development and testing.
5. Configure interactive voice response. For more information, see Configure human-computer interaction.
  
  When you set the interaction client to Cloud Intelligence App, turn on the switch for Interactive Voice Response > Tmall Genie > Control Command. This connects the device to Tmall Genie voice services and enables voice control from a Tmall Genie speaker.
Test the device.
After you provision and bind your test device using the Cloud Intelligence App, follow the steps in the Consumer usage section to bind your Tmall Genie account. This enables voice control from the speaker. To download the Cloud Intelligence App, see Cloud Intelligence App.

Important
When you create an account for the first time, select the Chinese mainland for Country/Region.

Consumer usage

The Cloud Intelligence App supports Tmall Genie control. To use this feature, follow these steps.

Download the Cloud Intelligence App and use it to bind your Tmall Genie-compatible device.
Download the Tmall Genie app from your phone's app store and bind your Tmall Genie speaker.
In the Cloud Intelligence App, go to My > More Services > Tmall Genie > Bind Account. Enter your Taobao account on the page that appears. The following figure shows this process.

Note
A Cloud Intelligence App account can be bound to only one Taobao account.
After you successfully log on, you can use your Tmall Genie speaker to control the device.

In the Tmall Genie app, your device appears in the device list on the Genie Home tab.
