Dashboards
A dashboard displays data from configured data sources in reports on a single page. Dashboards are used for data visualization and do not support alerts. You can select different report types based on your business needs and the type of data source. This topic describes the report types supported by Real-time Monitoring and how to configure them.
This topic describes how to configure a dashboard in custom monitoring.
Procedure
Log on to the Real-time Monitoring console. In the navigation pane on the left, choose Custom Monitoring > New > New Monitoring Product.
On the Common tab, click Dashboard to open the dashboard configuration page.
Enter a dashboard name. In the Dashboard Layout section, click Add Report to start configuring reports. A dashboard consists of one or more reports. To configure a dashboard, you must configure each report individually. Each report has the following components:
Report Name: A custom name for the report. For example, in the "Overall Dashboard" shown in the preceding figure, "Second-level Transaction Creation" and "Second-level Transaction Payment" are report names.
Width: The width of the report. This parameter is required. Each row has a total width of 12 units. For example, if you set the width to 12, one report is displayed per row. If you set the width to 6, two reports are displayed per row. In the overall dashboard, the two second-level reports in the first row both have a width of 6.
Height: Optional. The height of the report in pixels. If you leave this parameter empty, the system sets a default height based on the selected report type.
Report Type: The display style of the report. Select a type from the drop-down list.
Data Source: The data source for the numeric columns in the report. You can select multiple data sources. After you select a report type, the Data Source option appears. Click the Select Data Source button and select the required data sources from the page that appears.
Numeric Column: Optional. The configuration of the content in the report's columns. This parameter may be required depending on the report type. Click Add or Intelligently Generate Data Columns to add numeric columns. Some data sources support the intelligent generation of numeric columns. If you click Intelligently Generate Data Columns, the numeric columns are configured automatically. For example, the "Transaction Creation" report in the following figure is a Last 10 Minutes Table report type and consists of five numeric columns. The "Transaction Creation Trend" report is a Trend Chart report type and consists of three numeric columns.

Click Add > Configure Numeric Column. In the Numeric Column window, configure the column content. After you complete the configuration, click OK.
Level-1 Table Header: A name used to group multiple numeric columns. For example, "Overall" in the following figure is a level-1 table header.
Column Name: A name that describes the numeric value in the column. For example, "Requests" and "Successes" in the preceding figure.
Value Function: The calculation method for the numeric value. You can select from 14 value functions. You can display values directly or use two data sources to calculate a value.
Format Expression: The format of the value. For example, you can set the number of decimal places or format the value as a percentage.
Alert Function: The function that sets different colors for values in the report to indicate alert statuses. You can set a Warning Threshold or an Error Threshold. If a value exceeds or falls below the specified threshold, the value is displayed in orange or red. In the report in the following figure, the month-over-month and year-over-year numeric columns show the effect of configuring an alert function.

Diagnostic Link: A hyperlink that you can add to the report. A question mark icon appears next to the data in the report. If you click the icon, you are redirected to the linked page.
Display Duration: The time range of the data to display, in seconds. If you leave this parameter empty, the default duration is used. For example, the "Last 10 Minutes Table" report type displays 10 minutes of data by default. If you enter 300, it displays 5 minutes (300 seconds) of data.
Time Granularity: The time granularity of the data to display, in seconds. If you leave this parameter empty, the default time granularity is used.
After you configure a report, click Add Report to configure more reports. To delete a report, click the delete icon (
) on the right side of the report. After you complete the configuration, click Submit.
The following sections describe the styles and configuration of different report types.
Last 10 minutes table
The Last 10 Minutes Table report has a time column on the left and displays data from the last 10 minutes. This report type supports data sources such as Minute Statistics/No Key, Minute Statistics/Multi-Key, and Common Service Metrics. The following figure shows an example of a Last 10 Minutes Table report.

The following figure shows the configuration page for a Last 10 Minutes Table.
When you configure a Last 10 Minutes Table, you must configure the Time column. The following figure shows the configuration page for numeric columns:
For more information about each configuration parameter, see the Procedure section.
Trend chart
The Trend Chart report supports data source types such as Minute Statistics/No Key, Minute Statistics/Multi-Key, Common Service Metrics, and Second-level Statistics/No Key. The following figure shows an example of a Trend Chart report.

A Trend Chart can display multiple trend lines. To display multiple trend lines, add the corresponding number of numeric columns on the configuration page. The preceding figure shows three trend lines, which correspond to three configured numeric columns. The following figure shows the Trend Chart configuration page.
The data source selected in the preceding figure is a Common Service Metrics data source. The following figure shows the configuration page for this type of numeric column:
When you configure numeric columns for a Common Service Metrics data source, you must specify the Key in Data Source. The key refers to a Common Service Metrics statistic, such as Total, Successes, Success Rate, Total Average Time, or Failures.
For more information about each configuration parameter, see the Procedure section.
Current minute multi-key vertical table and multi-minute multi-key vertical table
The Current Minute Multi-Key Vertical Table and Multi-Minute Multi-Key Vertical Table reports support Minute Statistics/Multi-Key or Common Service Metrics data sources that have column value groups. The following figures show the report styles and configuration pages for these two report types:
Current Minute Multi-Key Vertical Table
NoteOn the configuration page, Key Title specifies the name of the column that contains the Column Value Group from the data source. In the following sample table, Key Title is set to 'API'.
Multi-Minute Multi-Key Vertical Table. The configuration page for the Multi-Minute Multi-Key Vertical Table is the same as that for the Current Minute Multi-Key Vertical Table.

For more information about each configuration parameter, see the Procedure section.
Last 10 minutes multi-key table
The Last 10 Minutes Multi-Key Table is a transposed view of the Multi-Minute Multi-Key Vertical Table. In this view, the time is in the left column, and the keys from the column value group are in the first row. This report type supports Minute Statistics/Multi-Key or Common Service Metrics data sources that have column value groups. The following figure shows an example of a Last 10 Minutes Multi-Key Table report:

The table configuration method is similar to that of the Multi-Minute Multi-Key Vertical Table. The following figure shows the configuration page.
For more information about each configuration parameter, see the Procedure section.
Second-level table
The Second-level Table report supports only Second-level Statistics/No Key data sources. The following figures show an example of this report and its configuration page:
Second-level Statistics/No Key data sources support the intelligent generation of data columns. The configuration of the Report Name, Width, Height, Data Source, and Numeric Column parameters is similar to the configuration of the Last 10 minutes table.
Sub-second multi-key tables
The Second-level Multi-Key Table report supports only Second-level Statistics/Multi-key data sources. The configuration method for this report is similar to the method for the minute multi-key table. The following figure shows the configuration page.

Key horizontal and vertical MAP table (advanced)
The Key Horizontal and Vertical MAP Table (Advanced) report provides advanced, personalized settings for Minute Statistics/Multi-Key and Common Service Metrics data sources that have column value groups.
For example, the following figure shows a Minute Statistics/Multi-Key data source table.
You can use the Key Horizontal and Vertical MAP Table (Advanced) report to hide the Method column and display the keys from the Method column as table headers. The following figure shows an example:

The specific configuration method is as follows:
To hide the Method column, use the Hide Key parameter. Enter the ordinal number of the column that you want to hide. For example, to hide the first column, enter 0. To hide the second column, enter 1. To hide the first and third columns, enter 0,2.
To display the Method column names as table headers, use the Key Value Supplement parameter on the Numeric Column configuration page. As shown in the following figure, the new numeric column displays the value for 'cloud', which is one of the keys in the Method column. Therefore, '.,cloud' is entered. The period (.) indicates that the keys in the 'API' column are not filtered. Repeat this step to configure other methods.
Common business table
The Common Business Table report supports only Common Service Metrics data sources that do not have column value groups. The following figures show an example of this report and its configuration page.
The Common Business Table is designed for Common Service Metrics data sources that do not have column value groups. Therefore, you do not need to configure numeric columns for this report type. By default, the report includes six numeric columns, as shown in the preceding figure. If you want to display only a subset of these columns, use the Last 10 Minutes Table report type.

For more information about each configuration parameter, see the Procedure section.
Top application errors
The Top Application Errors report is used to display the top 10 applications with the highest number of internal errors. You do not need to configure data sources or numeric columns for this report type.
The report is formatted as follows:
