You can configure alert rules to enable alerts for your monitoring data. Alert rules define how the system checks your data and when to send notifications.
You can set alert rules for important metrics. This helps you identify issues immediately and resolve them quickly.
Prerequisites
You have the required permissions to configure alert rules.
Configure alert rules for application business metrics
In the navigation pane on the left, click Application Monitoring. In the application list, find the target application and click Details in the Actions column.
On the application details page, click the Edit icon in the upper-right corner to open the alert rule configuration page.
Select a metric to configure. Turn on Monitoring Status for this metric. Set the Max Storage Capacity, Max Report Key Count, and Log Encoding.
Before you configure an alert rule, you must turn on Monitoring Status. Otherwise, you cannot continue.Optional: You can add a custom configuration. Click Add Custom Configuration, select Collect Log Files, and then configure Log Filtering. Log filtering provides two keyword filtering methods: Add Whitelist Filter and Add Blacklist Filter.
A whitelist functions as a `WHERE Field = ?` clause in SQL.
A blacklist functions as a `WHERE Field < > ?` clause in SQL.
Configure the alert rule.
You can configure alert rules for multiple dimensions of a single metric. The available dimensions depend on the metric. The Alert Configuration tab shows the status for each dimension. A hyphen (-) indicates that the rule is not configured. A check mark (√) indicates that the rule is configured.
Next to Alert Configuration, select a dimension, such as Total Clusters. Turn on the alert configuration switch, and then click Add Alert Rule.
In the Alert Rule column, enter a name for the rule. Select a time range and set the trigger conditions. To add more conditions, click Add Trigger Condition. If you add multiple conditions, select either Trigger when all conditions are met or Trigger when any condition is met.
Set the Alert Level and Detection Frequency. If needed, select Customize Alert Time Zone.
After you configure the alert rule, click Save All Alert Configurations.
To configure more alert rules for the application, repeat steps 7 through 10.
When you are finished, click Submit.
Configure alert rules for order-related resources of an application
In the navigation pane on the left, click Application Monitoring. In the application list, find the target application and click the expand icon (+) next to its name.
Hover over the alert management icon in the upper-right corner of a resource card. In the pop-up menu, click Configure Rule. On the new page, click Edit Rule.

To add a rule manually: Click Add Rule and set the parameters.
To add a rule from a template: Select a template from the Reference Template drop-down list and click Apply. If no changes are needed, click Save.
Configure alert rules for a single resource instance in an application
In the navigation pane on the left, click Application Monitoring. In the application list, find the target application and click Details in the Actions column to open the application monitoring view.
In the navigation pane on the left, click Resource Monitoring. Click a resource class to open its overview page.
Click the Resources tab. To the right of a resource instance, click Configure Rule, and then click Edit Instance Rule.
