Overview
SOFABoot is a Spring Boot-based development framework for fast and agile development of Spring applications, especially for building microservice systems. Based on Spring Boot, SOFABoot provides capabilities such as Readiness Check, class isolation, and log space isolation to solve problems encountered in large-scale team development cloud-native microservice systems. At the same time, SOFABoot also provides a lightweight integration solution for SOFA middleware, which allows you to use fintech middleware in SOFABoot with only a small amount of configuration. The financial technology middleware can also be separately configured and integrated into the Spring Boot project through the corresponding starter module.
SOFABoot is developed based on Spring Boot and implemented using standard Spring interfaces. SOFABoot can be understood as an extension of Spring. It is built on the basis of Spring Boot to provide financial technology middleware solutions. Each middleware is a pluggable component, which is very convenient to add and remove. At the same time, the concept of "Convention First Configuration" (convention over configuration) is used to complete automatic configuration, so that developers can focus more on business logic.
The relationship between SOFABoot, middleware services, Spring Boot, and SpringCloud is as follows:
Spring Boot is an excellent open source framework that can quickly and agilely develop a new generation of Spring framework-based applications. It is not used to replace Spring's solutions, but is closely integrated with Spring framework to improve Spring developer experience. SOFABoot enhances capabilities based on Spring Boot and provides lightweight integration with Ant Middleware. It can be seamlessly integrated with Spring Boot and Spring projects.
SOFABoot allows you to create two types of projects: Web and Core. When using SOFABoot to develop a Web program, it is equivalent to "Spring Boot-based Web application + SOFA middleware" for development; When using SOFABoot to develop a J2SE program (without Web page access), it is equivalent to "Spring Boot-based non-Web application (without servlet dependency) + SOFA middleware" for development.
In addition, SOFABoot is now open-source. Visit the SOFABoot open-source community to learn more about the source code of products and discuss and create products with more people.
As a development framework, SOFABoot plays a vital role in the whole microservices model, and it is constantly being optimized and upgraded.
