You can create user tag datasets for tasks such as perspective analytics and filtering audiences by tag.
User tags record user features. Each tag corresponds to a specific field.
A user tag dataset is a collection of tag data about users. It must include a user identity. It can also include other tags such as name, gender, age, preferences, and purchase behavior.
Prerequisites
The tag data table is stored in a data source. For a sample format, see User tag dataset sample.
The data source is connected to Quick Audience. For more information, see Create a data source or Grant permissions on a data source table.
Alternatively, you can create a user tag dataset by uploading a tag table file in .xls or .xlsx format. For more information, see Upload a tag data table.
Procedure
Choose Workspace > Configuration Management > Data Center > Dataset to go to the Dataset management page.
In the upper-right corner, click New > Dataset > User Tag Dataset to go to the user tag dataset configuration page.
Click Select Data Table. In the dialog box that appears, select a data source and a data table, and then click Confirm.
(Optional) Click the
icon next to the data table to build a join model. In the Build Join Model dialog box, configure the foreign key field and join type (left join or inner join), and then click Confirm.
Click Next.
On the Configure Tags page, set the user identity field and user identity type for the dataset. For each field, set the tag alias, tag type, tag category, and tag description. For ID fields, set the ID type.

The user identity is the unique identifier for a user in the dataset.
The user identity type is the ID type that corresponds to the user identity. When you select an audience, the ID type specified here is used by default.
The supported ID types are OneID, UnionID, mobile phone number, email address, Taobao ID, Taobao nickname, Taobao OUID, Alipay ID, Weibo ID, mobile IMEI, mobile IDFA, mobile IMSI, mobile OAID, MAC address, and OpenID.
ImportantSet an ID type for ID fields. This ensures that you can select multiple ID types when you push the user tag dataset or audience packages generated from it to Data Bank.
The supported tag types are enumeration, text, numeric, time, and multi-value. Text and numeric types with fewer than 50 unique values are automatically detected as enumeration types.
If you select the multi-value tag type, you must specify a separator. The ID type option is not supported for this tag type.

When you set the tag category, click Tag Category Management in the drop-down list. In the dialog box that appears, you can edit the tag categories, which are available to the entire workspace. For more information, see the "Manage tag categories" section in Manage user tag datasets.
Click Finish. In the dialog box that appears, enter a name and location for the dataset, and then click Confirm to create the user tag dataset.
You are redirected to the Dataset management page, where the new user tag dataset appears in the dataset list. For information about management operations, see Manage user tag datasets.
Upload a tag table
To create a user tag dataset by uploading a tag data table, you can save the user tag table as an .xls or .xlsx file using the provided template, and then upload the file.
Choose Workspace > Configuration Management > Data Center > Dataset to go to the Dataset management page.
In the upper-right corner, click New > Dataset > User Tag Dataset to go to the user tag dataset configuration page.
Click Upload Data.
In the dialog box that appears, click Download Template to download the template file. Fill in the template with your data. Before you save the file, delete the instructional text from the template.

Upload the file and select the data source where the uploaded file will be saved.
Click OK to start the upload. After the upload is complete, click Next in the lower-right corner.

Set the user identity field and user identity type for the dataset. For each field, set the tag alias, tag type, tag category, and tag description. For ID fields, set the ID type. This process is the same as when you create a user tag dataset from a data table.

Click Finish. In the dialog box that appears, enter a name and location for the dataset, and then click Confirm to create the user tag dataset.

You are redirected to the Dataset management page, where the newly uploaded user tag dataset appears in the dataset list. Its type is Manual Upload. For information about management operations, such as viewing upload results, see Manage user tag datasets.
